MILANO, November 15, 2020 – MRT announce today that RAI WAY, a Italy-based company leader in infrastructure for broadcasting, has final award , for the second time after the first project awarded 14 months ago, MRT as supplier for their NEW National Video Headends for DTT/DTH TV Network; as part of the selection process, where all major competitors were there, the MRT solution has been select for the best performance, in terms of encoding latency, video compression quality, flexibility and low consumption and finally also with the best price; in the project that will be deploy in 2021 , as per contract MRT will provide Rai Way up to 10 complete video headend, which will include the software-based TITAN Live, Mux and ATEME Management System (AMS), Enensys IP/ASI switching & T/T2 gateways solution, as well all necessary resources required for a high-quality service & support for the next 5 years; everything to allow Rai Way the transition of the digital terrestrial network to DVB-T2/MPEG4/HEVC standard as the Phase 1 and 2 roadmap.
